Natasha Burnett

Photographer & Owner

Human Nature Photography

Hello, I am Natasha Burnett the Photographer and Owner of Human Nature Photography. I wanted to include a page on my web site were I could include information about myself. I feel that if you know a little bit about a person it can help you to find a photographer that will best blend with your individual personality. Getting along with your photographer can be the one thing that can make or break a photo session. I am a very caring and friendly person with a general ability to get along with just about anyone. Whenever I photograph any person or event I really try to work with my clients to make them as comfortable as possible. If you are nervous about having your photograph taken I will work with you taking photo's until you have began to loosen up a little bit. I also understand that people have little things that make them self-conscious, whenever I am informed of this in advance I can use special lighting to minimize these trouble area's or if necessary offer digital retouching. I want to create an image that you can be proud to show to all of your friends! Because I understand that a good photograph can build self confidence, it can capture special memories, and even stir up fuzzy feelings; I make it my utmost priority to go above and beyond your expectations!

A little bit of personal information about myself. I grew up in Reedley, Ca a beautiful little city on the edge of the Kings River. This is what I feel gave me my appreciation of nature and of the simple things in life. I am a very easy going person with a love for the outdoors, animals, and people. In general I am one of the happiest people you could meet, I always have a friendly smile to offer.

My background in photography goes back to high school. I was the yearbook photographer at Reedley High School. I love to go back and look through my yearbooks because its like a preview of how I started my passion for photography. I had two great teachers in high school who inspired me to expand my knowledge of photography. My collegiate life started at COS in Visalia where I graduated with a Liberal Arts degree. I then transferred to CSU Monterey Bay where I chose to study marine biology. I really enjoyed the thought that I could one day work with marine mammals and help to make a difference, but I still longed to do what I loved which was photography. So I began to take courses at Monterey Peninsula College where I studied Business and Photography. This is all that it took to get me completely hooked, there was nothing else that I wanted more than to have my own photography studio. After one semester there I decided to transfer to CSU Long Beach where I studied fine arts. In May 2003 I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts specializing in Photography. It has been a long difficult education, but I love a challenge and relished every minute of it.

I then decided to move back to Visalia where I could be close to the mountains, and rivers, and everything not Los Angeles! I wanted to live in a laid back friendly city, and I really liked Visalia when I attended COS. This is where I decided to open my business Human Nature Photography, because I felt that I had something unique to offer, and Visalia was the city where I wanted to pursue my dreams! I hope one day we can meet and I can help you to make all of your photographic dreams become a reality!
